Michelle Boulé


Michelle Boulé is a dance artist, teacher, and BodyTalk Practitioner. Based in New York, she has performed and taught internationally for the past 12 years. Artists she has worked with include Miguel Gutierrez and the Powerful People (since 2001), Deborah Hay (William Forsythe Commission ‘If I Sing to You’), John Scott, David Wampach, Liz Santoro, Neal Beasley, Christine Elmo, John Jasperse, Donna Uchizono, Beth Gill, Judith Sanchez-Ruiz, Doug Varone (Metropolitan Opera Ballet), and Gabriel Masson. Her choreography has been shown in NY at Judson Church, Center for Performance Research, Danspace Project, PS122, The Bushwick Starr, and The Kitchen (Dec 2011). She participated in the SKITE artists residency in 2010 in Caen, France, and in 2002, she was a DanceWeb scholarship recipient at ImpulsTanz in Vienna. She teaches regularly in New York at Movement Research and has also taught at Dance New Amsterdam, the former Trisha Brown Studio, and in Tenerife, Berlin, Dublin, Melbourne, Hong Kong, Calgary, Toronto, Portland, San Francisco, and as faculty at Hollins University and the University of Illinois. She received a 2010 New York Dance and Performance Award “Bessie” for her performance and collaboration in Last Meadow with Miguel Gutierrez and the Powerful People. http://michelleboule.wordpress.com/
