Michele Wilson grew up dancing in Elmira, NY. After earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance from the State University of New York, College at Brockport, she headed to New York City where she currently works and plays as an arts administrator and dancer. At Brockport, Michele directed the Student Dance Organization, which included over 130 members, and provided a wide variety of residencies, master classes, and other opportunities for students. After working two summer seasons at the American Dance Festival, Michele joined the ADF's fulltime staff in 2007, where she has worked as both the Development Associate and Executive Assistant. Michele has since transitioned to working as the Director of Development with Gallim Dance and Gina Gibney Dance and has also produced the Brockport AlumniDance Showcase in NYC for the past three years. Michele currently performs throughout New York City as a founding member of the Ballaro Dance Company and Jostle Dance Company, and has also danced with Missy Pfohl Smith/BIODANCE and Jenny Showalter.
