dAMNATION rOAD (2004)

dAMNATION rOAD is a physical and aural exploration of the body in terror. The central figure, blindfolded and bound, attempts to act in the face of paralysis, and her uncertain gestures and groping reflect our own desire to understand the unknown. Christoph Draeger’s set is a site of destruction–the metallic rubble of a destroyed supermarket, a car wreck and a dilapidated bedroom, a landscape of desolation. The performance is heightened by Pee in My Face with Surgery’s caustic vocals and electronics.
