Samuael Topiary (video artist) makes single

channel video works, video installations and
interdisciplinary performance. She is currently a
Media Arts Fellow at Dance Theater Workshop in
New York and will be an artist-in-residence at the
MacDowell Colony this fall. In addition to
working with MGPP, she has made videos for Le
Tigre and wsa the visual designer for David
Dorfman Dance Co "See Level." She also
performed with and composed the sound score
for CROWD (Anna Azreili and Abby Crain) at
Movement Research at Judson Church. Among
her many exploits while in SF (92-99), she made
the dance-film "ATALANTA" and toured the US
with the all-girl spoken word group "Sister Spit."
She received an MFA in film/video from Bard
College in 2002. Her film and video work have
been presented in festivals throughout the world,
including Lincoln Center's "NY Video Festival,"
The Walker Art Center in Minneapolis and the
Chicago Int'l Film Festival where "REEPERBAHN"
won a silver plaque.
